zkSync unveils Hyperchain vision with ZK Stack.

 zkSync, a leading ZK (zero knowledge) rollup network on Ethereum, has announced its Hyperchain vision, which aims to create a unified multichain ecosystem of ZK-secured networks. The vision is based on ZK Stack, a new framework that enables the deployment of custom ZK-powered Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks. ZK Stack allows for better cross-chain communication and interoperability among rollups built on its technology.

DAI’s reliance on USDC continues to decline.

MakerDAO, the protocol behind the DAI stablecoin, has reduced its dependence on USDC as a collateral asset from over 50% at the start of the year to less than 10% now. The protocol has achieved this by expanding its portfolio of real-world assets (RWAs), such as short-term treasury bonds. MakerDAO currently holds ~$1.2B worth of bonds as collateral, which generates stable yield and diversifies risk for the protocol.

Maple aims to fill void in institutional demand for loans.

Maple Finance, a decentralized lending platform for institutional borrowers, has announced a new direct lending program called Maple Direct, which will feature overcollateralized loans to Web3 businesses. The feature aims to fill the gap left by centralized lending platforms such as BlockFi and Celsius, which have gone under amidst the bear market. Maple Direct is set to launch in July and will target organizations that cannot secure loans collateralized by digital assets due to regulatory concerns.
