What is BOO used for?
BOO is the governance and revenue-sharing token for the Spookyswap exchange. Stakers receive a portion of platform fees in BOO. The token can be used to vote on farming rewards via Snapshot, a DAO governance platform.
BOO tokenomics
The max supply of BOO is ~13.666M tokens. The initial supply minted 20% of the total supply and was distributed as follows: 7% to community airdrops, 5% to locked developer funds, 4% to BOO single stake initial farm offering (IFO), 2% to initial DEX offering (IDO), and 2% to new BOO bonus. The remaining supply will be minted over three years with the emissions distributed as follows: 72.7% reserved for LP farm rewards, 5.3% for developers, and 2% for the DAO.
How does BOO accrue value?
BOO is the governance token for Spookyswap and collects a portion of protocol fees. BOO stakers (xBOO) earn a portion of trading fees (0.03% of every trade). The staking pool takes the collected fees and market buys BOO and distributes to xBOO holders.
