What is FOLD used for?

FOLD is the governance token for Manifold that can also be staked (xFOLD) to earn a portion of platform revenue.

FOLD tokenomics

FOLD has a fixed supply of 2M tokens. FOLD was sold through one private and one public sale round. The private sale sold 1M tokens (50% of supply) while the public sale sold 50K tokens. Over 70% of the supply is already in circulation, with ~35% currently being staked.

How does FOLD accrue value?

FOLD accrues value as it can be staked to receive a portion of all platform revenue. As more users stake, this also serves to reduce the circulating supply and has a deflationary impact on the price. As Manifold integrates with more DeFi projects, more revenue will accrue to the platform and thus to xFOLD holders.
